Guinea pigs are affectionate animals that love to be held, they needs
proper attention and caring. To understand more about guinea pigs, you
must have to understand their language and behavior. They communicate
through sounds and sometimes their body language means something.

Here's the list of their common behavior and what it means:
- Jumping - Happiness
- Cooing - reassurance
- Sitting up or standing - Begging for food
- Touching each other nose - greeting
- Lowering the head - offer peace
- Growling - fear
- Squeaking - Pain, fear loneliness or hungry
- Murmurs, gurgles & grunts - contentment, comfort
- Stretching - relaxed comfort
- Growling, grunting, rattling - male mating sounds
- Grunting - friendly greeting
- Mouth wide open, showing teeth - female rejecting male's
advances
- Tilting the head - signaling strength
- Extending the head - panicking
- Pressing against the wall - helpless
- Stretching the head forwards - alertness

Juliet, grinding teeth is a sign of aggression. Guinea pigs may do this to warn off a cage mate.
